September Pack Meeting

PACK 97 SEPTEMBER PACK MEETING

Please join us at Hornets Nest Park for our September Pack Meeting, this Friday, September 19th at 6:00pm.

We will hold a Camping Orientation complete with tent and gear displays.

All the dens will be doing songs and skits.

And we will get to enjoy a dutch oven dessert cook-off!

Please look for us in pavillion #1, at the far end of the first parking on your right as you enter the park.

 


 

 
IT’S CUB SCOUT TIME AGAIN

If you missed our annual Round-Up, do not despair! You can join us most Fridays, at 6:30pm at the St Mark parish hall for regular den meetings. Please see our list of den meeting dates.

All boys age 6 to 11, or 1st thru 5th grade are invited to join Cub Scouts with Pack 97. All boys are welcome and need not attend St. Mark School.

Camping, Hiking, and Fun meetings are all part of Pack 97.

Come check out our great program and see how much FUN scouting is. We need leaders too. Parents are welcome.

Webelos-Ree 2014

Webelos Scouts ...'Race to the Arrow'

Camp Belk - November 7th - 9th

Webelos 1 will be working on Engineer, Forester, Citizen, Readyman and Orienteering

Webelos 2 will be working on Scientist, Leave no Trace, Knots\Lashings, Climbing Wall, Cooking and Geocaching

$15 for Parents (Includes Registration fee + food)

Medical form parts A & B must be filed with the pack to attend this event.

Creek ReLeaf

 

On Saturday, Nov 22nd, Pack 97 will participate in a local service project planting trees along Torrence Creek in conjunction with the Charlotte Public Tree Fund, Charlotte Mecklenburg Storm water Services, the Center for Sustainability at Central Piedmont Community College and Sierra Club Central Piedmont Group.

All family members are invited to participate. Please wear Class B t-shirts over appropriate warm work clothes including shoes and gloves.

Saturday, Nov 22nd 9:00-12:00 Torrence Creek, next to Discovery Place Kids

SCOUTStrong

In 2014 Pack 97 will be participating in the SCOUTStrong PALA (Presidential Active Lifestyle Award) Challenge. This challenge is designed to motivate participants to be physically active on a regular basis by allowing them to participate in activities they enjoy, as well as improving their eating habits. Earning a PALA is definitely doable by anyone at any fitness level.
